Claim your free Google My Business listing to take control over how your business appears on Google Search and Google Maps. Google My Business also helps to maximise your online presence and presents your business information to the millions of people who are searching for local services and products on a daily basis. Google gives priority to local business listings over websites, which makes business listings more important than ever, and a key part of the purchase journey for your customers.

You can add your business name, location, and trading hours; and you can monitor and reply to Google customer reviews and add product or location photos.

How to set up Google My Business

Log in to the Google Account you want to be associated with your business (or create a Google Account if you don’t already have one).

  • Enter your business name and follow the steps on screen to complete your industry, address, website and contact details. Tap ‘Finish’.

  • You will be asked for an email address to be sent a verification code, follow the instructions in that email to verify your account or skip the step to complete verification later.

  • Follow the rest of the setup process to add your services, business hours, business description and photos.

  • You can change any of this at any time by going to google.com/business and tapping ‘Manage now’ in the top right-hand corner.

What next?

Once you are listed, make sure that you regularly refresh and update your listing with new photographs and any changes to opening times or service availability.

If you don't have a physical location, don't worry you can still have a Google My Business listing.
