Social media is great for showcasing what’s new in your store. There’s no need to wait until a potential customer steps foot in your store or clicks on your website to discover your new stock when you have active social accounts. 

Try taking a picture of a new item, then post it to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook (or all three) with a short description of what it is and why it’d be useful to your customer. Be personable and lighthearted, as though you’re telling a friend about an item you love - and don’t forget to include a link so they can find it online.

For example, let’s say you sell baby clothing:

“We can’t get enough of these cute organic cotton socks we’ve just got in, the perfect gift for a newborn. What do you think? (link) (image)”
