Facebook announced in late 2018 that they were rolling out a feature called ‘Recommendations’.
“Local business Pages have always been able to feature ratings and reviews on their Page, and now we are updating reviews to Recommendations. Customers can share richer feedback about your business to help you be more visible in your local community and attract more customers.”
Here’s a task for you if you haven’t been using recommendations yet. Take a look at Facebook's main recommendations page here: https://www.facebook.com/recommendations and think about creative ways in which you can encourage your customers to leave you a great recommendation or review (please note that recommendations will likely still be displayed on your business page under 'Reviews', with a list of customers who have recommended you, their comments, and their star rating).
Recommendations are an invaluable way for potential customers to see the great things your customers have to say about you, which should encourage them to buy your goods or services, too.
