Here is step four of your 4-step social media audit. Today we’re going to create some new objectives and goals for your social channels.
Now that you have taken the time to evaluate your social media channels, you’ll have a better understanding of where you are currently and what plans to make for the future.
Find a piece of paper and set a goal. Whether it’s growing your followers on a certain channel or getting more engagement, set a target and use your knowledge of your most engaged posts to reach it. (See Step 3 if you are unsure of how your posts are performing.)
Here are some examples of goals you could set:
- Increase brand awareness: Share why people should follow you on social media and set a target of getting X number of new followers on X channel by the end of the month.
- Increase engagement: Ask you customers a question and set yourself a target to get X number of comments on a post.
- Grow revenue: Share a discount code on a channel and measure how many customers use it - set a realistic target based on 5% of followers converting.
