Social media is all about building relationships as this provides you with a loyal and engaged community - vital if you have a business or brand to promote.

Engagement on social media includes likes, comments, replies and re sharing other peoples content. You can do all of this for every social media platform on your Maybe* Engagement tab with the click of a button. You can also directly schedule to Buffer. Planning ahead with retweets and content curation like this can really take the pressure off daily engagement. Just remember when you are scheduling a retweet to make sure it is appropriate for the time and day it will go out. For extra engagement clout try starting a conversation in your comment or reply.

Don't be afraid to reply and comment on people's posts. Getting a conversation started is the first step to a great online relationship. Remember that the more you comment, like and share someone's content, the more likely they are to do the same for you.

If you are unsure where to start here are some tips;

  • Always reply to questions and comments on your own social media, ideally on the same day.
  • Spend 10 minutes a day spreading some love, with likes and genuine comments on other people's posts.
  • Try @mentioning/ tagging some other businesses in your posts to see if they engage.
  • Find a nice image or blog post you thing your followers will enjoy and ask them #WDYT?
