How to connect your Google Analytics account to your Maybe* reporting dashboard

This article covers how you can link your Google Analytics account to your Reporting & Comments feature within Maybe* so that you can view the analytics directly as a Quick Report or add specific Google Analytics modules to a Custom Report.

Quick facts

  • Maybe* only connects to GA4 Property Google Analytics accounts

  • As of 30 June 2023, Universal Analytics properties are no longer supported by Google Analytics

  • If you previously had a custom report using Google Analytics modules (before 28 June 2023), the modules will need to be removed and re-added so they now connect to a GA4 property

Important: Due to Google's API restrictions (what third-party services like Maybe* use to connect to social platforms), we can only pull metrics for 10 websites per Google account. To get around this, we recommend splitting the websites onto various Google accounts

Quick Reports

  1. First go to Reports > Reports Hub.

  2. Then select Google Analytics from the options or click Google Analytics on the left sidebar.

  3. Click the Connect Account button.

  4. Login to your Google Analytics account if necessary and click Allow to proceed.

  5. Maybe* will populate all the profiles linked to your Google Analytics account.

  6. Select which Google Analytics profile you would like to see the report on and click Generate Report.

  7. To switch Google Analytics accounts, please click Switch Account.

  8. Click the X icon to go back to the previous screen.

Branded (custom) reports

  1. Click Add Module to select the Google Analytics modules within the report.

  2. Select Google Analytics from the tab navigation.

  3. Click the + icon to add all the modules you would like to appear on your report.
