Why customise content?

Customising social media content for different channels is crucial because each platform has its unique audience, culture, and content consumption habits, plus the platforms work in different ways. For instance, Instagram users typically seek visually engaging content and any links in content go into the bio, while LinkedIn users look for more professional and informative posts and therefore a different tone. The optimum amount of hashtags to use across channels varies, and character limits impact how much you can post.

Tailoring content to match the specific preferences and expectations of each channel's audience and to meet different platform requirements and best practice can significantly increase your engagement, and the effectiveness of your marketing efforts. Additionally, understanding the nuances of each channel can help in crafting messages that resonate more deeply with users, driving better results in terms of brand awareness, customer engagement, and conversions.

By customising content, businesses and individuals can more effectively communicate their message, connect with their target audience, and achieve their marketing and communication goals.

Customising content for different channels from Maybe* is easy.

Rather than posting content individually for each channel, you can create a post for all channels and customise it at the same time in Maybe*. A big time saver!

Here’s a step-by-step:

  • In your Maybe* account, go into your Social Planner and Click New Post;

  • Select the channels that you wish to post to, and enter your post caption and attach media for the post;

  • Switch the ‘Customize for each channel’ toggle to green;

  • Click on the channel icons circled in the image below to make changes to each post;

  • Once your post is ready, click Post and select whether you want to Post Now, SchedulePost, Send post For Approval or Schedule Recurring Posts.

That’s it - super quick and easy!
