Reels are both a popular content format, and one that Instagram is particularly prioritising above others. You can easily explore Reels in the app, as in addition to appearing in your general feed, there is a dedicated Reels tab at the bottom of your screen.

Creating Reels as a business or brand

When creating content, you have a wealth of inspiration at your fingertips. From dreamy, aspirational footage, to product demonstrations, to packing orders. You can film footage and share it, or you can upload a series of images and share them as a Reel instead; set to background music. Add a caption, and be sure to include key words in that caption - think of the topics or types of Reels your customers will search for, and work the wording into your caption. Take some time to explore your own Reels feed to understand that it goes beyond your follower list. Understand that Instagram curates content based on your interests and searches, broadening your exposure to a wider range of content.

Note: Instagram tends to favour Reels made using original, high-resolution footage or photos.
