Verifying your domain in Business Manager as a business enhances the integrity and security of your brand, ensures control over your content, and improves ad targeting and performance analytics.

Here is a step-by-step guide to verifying your domain:

  • Within Business Manager, go to the business you want to verify then select Business settings;

  • Click Brand safety;. Click into that and then select domains. So you'll see here that this is not very. Providing it's clearly stated in red it will be verified in green writing next to your domain name;

  • Next Facebook gives you three options to verify your domain. You might prefer to work with your website developer to do this because this is getting into code, or you may be comfortable doing this yourself. Facebook will lead you through what to do..

    • Add a meta tag to your HTML source. Facebook will give you a personalised piece of code to copy and paste into your code in the header section and they suggest a way here where you can check whether it's visible and working. And once you think it's all correct, then you just click verify domain. There are some other options here.

    • Upload an HTML file to your root directory, and again, Facebook show you the steps to do this.

    • Update the DNS text record with your domain registrar. So this is like GoDaddy or one two three red wherever you actually registered your business domain initially. It would be a case of logging in and following these instructions again to add. file so You again?

  • Once you've chosen your option and you think you've got it all correct, then you just click verify domain.

  • Next it will confirm that it's got all of the details it needs and it will indicate that it probably will take up to 40 hours maybe a bit longer before it's going to come back and give you your verification or if there's any problems.

  • After this time, Facebook will tell you that if it hasn't passed what to do next.

  • If it passes, you will see in Brand safety domains that it shows as verified in green.
