Posting to YouTube

When you're ready to publish new YouTube content, all you have to do is click the blue New Post button in the top right corner of your page.

When you're ready to publish new content, select the Marketing tab and then click the blue "New Post" button in the top right corner of your page. Alternatively, there's also the "Create New Post" link at the bottom of your posts list. You can either create a new post, upload CSV, or use Content AI.

New Social Post

Post To

Select YouTube as the social media platform you want to post to.

Type Content

Type in your social content, rich media, hashtags, and more in this field. Get creative with adding formatting elements like bold and italicised text, images, and even videos before hitting the Publish button!

Preview In

You can preview all your content here before you post it.

Save For Later

You can save this update as a draft until you are ready to post it.

Post

When you click on the "Post" button, it offers you three (3) different sending options and delete options to choose from:

  • Post Now
    This will allow you to send this post to the selected social channels/accounts.

  • Schedule Post
    This will allow you to schedule a post for a later date or time. Choose the date and time from the calendar and time slot.

  • Send Post for Approval
    This allows you to send for approval first within your agency or organisation. Choose the date and time from the calendar and time slot, and select an approver. You can add notes as well.

  • Delete
    If you want to delete any of your content, click on the delete button, which shows the "Delete confirmation" page. Be sure that to want to delete your post, because this action can't be undone!

Upload from CSV

You can also upload a post via CSV. Click on the "New Post" button and select the "Upload from CSV" button to direct you to the upload page.

Upload

  • The date format accepted is YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm: ss; You can use the 24-hour format (example 2025/05/23 20:15).

  • The Text column will support captions and hashtags.

  • In the link column, it is an OG meta tag, and it accepts one link.

  • The image and video column will accept multiple image(s) and video(s) comma-separated. For GIF, it will support one GIF only.

  • CSV import supports up to 90 posts per CSV.

Select Socials

  1. Create a new CSV when you click the "New Post" button.

  2. Once the user adds the CSV file and Selects the Socials, there will be an option to Select an Approver.

  3. Once the posts are imported, they will be reviewed by the chosen approver. Once approved, they will be scheduled on the social calendar.

YouTube requirements

General considerations:

  1. Original Content: Use original material or have permission for third-party content.

  2. Follow Community Guidelines: Avoid inappropriate content like hate speech, violence, or nudity.

  3. Respect Copyright: Ensure no infringement on copyrighted material, including music and clips.

  4. High-Quality Video: Aim for HD or 4K resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

  5. Advertiser-Friendly: Ensure content is suitable for monetization by adhering to YouTube’s guidelines.

Video

Choose the ideal Video size:

A YouTube Post should always include a video, as that is what the platform is all about. They have certain practices and recommendations regarding video:

  1. Resolution: Preferably HD (720p, 1080p) or 4K.

  2. Aspect Ratio: Standard is 16:9.

  3. File Format: Recommended formats are MP4, MOV, or AVI.

  4. Maximum Length: 12 hours or 256 GB.

  5. Frame Rate: Use the native frame rate, typically 24, 30, or 60 fps.

Captions

  1. Accuracy: Ensure captions accurately reflect spoken content.

  2. Timing: Sync captions correctly with the video.

  3. File Format: Use supported formats like .SRT or .VTT.

  4. Language: Match the language spoken in the video.

  5. Compliance: Follow YouTube's accessibility standards.

Hashtags

Hashtags make your content more discoverable on YouTube. Here are some things to consider:

  1. Relevance: Use hashtags related to the video content.

  2. Limit: Use up to 15 hashtags to avoid spam.

  3. Visibility: Place hashtags in the title or description.

  4. Avoid Misleading Tags: Do not use unrelated or misleading hashtags.

  5. No Spaces: Hashtags should be written as a single word or phrase (e.g., #TechReview).
